Theatre Rules

Raleigh Road Outdoor Theatre is a family operated entertainment venue striving to create a family friendly atmosphere. Our policies have been put in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all those that visit, for every visit. Please do your part in creating a place where everyone can enjoy movies under the stars.

General Rules

  • Speed limit is 6mph always.

  • No outside food or beverages are allowed. If you wish not to purchase from our concession stand, please consume all food and beverages before arriving to the theatre. Exceptions will be made for those with dietary restrictions and infants.

  • No ALCOHOL or ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES. Vance County Sheriff's Office will be notified to handle violations.

  • No littering, especially cigarette butts (we don't throw trash on your lawn, don't throw it on ours). Several trash cans are located around the theatre, including at the exit as you leave.

  • No re-entry. If you leave and wish to re-enter the same night, you must purchase a new ticket. 

  • Ticket receipt must be kept as proof of purchase and displayed on front dashboard, driver's side. You may be asked to present your receipt after inside. Keep it the entire night.

  • Cars only for the first 2 rows. Larger vehicles row 3 and back, extremely tall vehicles (that nice truck on 38's, last 2 rows please).

  • Please park within 1 foot of the speaker post so that two vehicles may park between each set of posts. We reserve the right to ask you to re-park your vehicle if you park incorrectly.

  • No reserving spaces: all parking is first come, first served.

  • All exterior and interior vehicle lights must remain off during the movie. Be mindful of those around you watching the movie. 

  • Keep car idling to a minimum. Exhaust fumes and noise can be disruptive to those sitting outside enjoying the movies. 

  • Smoking is restricted to inside vehicles only or the outer edges of the property. No smoking is allowed outside of vehicles within the general parking area, at/near the playground area, or inside/around concession area.    DO NOT THROW CIGARETTE BUTTS ON THE GROUND.  

  • Shoes, shorts/pants and a shirt must be worn at all times, with all undergarments covered.

  • Hatches must be tied to level with roofline of the vehicle. String will be provided upon request free of charge.

  • You CANNOT sit on roof or hood of cars for safety reasons. You can sit in front, behind or in the back of your van/truck as long as the rear hatch or your head does not go higher than the roof of your vehicle.

  • No profanity or crude behavior. Potty mouths and trouble makers will be asked to leave WITHOUT a refund.

  • Children and adults that act like children must be supervised by an adult in your party at all times.

  • We are pet friendly for "friendly pets". Pet owners, please read rules to the right.

  • Due to insurance regulations, no open flames (excl. citronella candles) grills or any other cooking device are allowed on premises.

  • Video/Audio recording of any film is a federal crime and subject to fines and/or prison.

Pet Rules

  • Pets must be kept on a short leash (6' or under, please no retractable leashes) at all times

  • Potty breaks may be taken on the far edges of the property. Please pick up after your pet and discard of waste properly. Unused parking spots are not an acceptable potty area.

  • Pets may not enter the concession stand, unless they are service animals.

  • Please keep pets quiet and under control as not to disturb other patrons.

  • Pet's behavior is the sole responsibility of the pet's owner. The theatre assumes no liability for the actions of a patron's pet.

  • With the owner's permission, all dogs will receive a treat at the ticket booth upon entering the theatre.

Playground Rules

  • Playground is open to children 11 and under.

  • ​Parents must supervise children while on play equipment.​

  • Playground closes at showtime or dusk, whichever occurs first. Children found on play equipment during showtime will be escorted back to their family's vehicle.
